Welcome to The Peak View, Holmfirth: Your Family's Peak District Escape

A serene family sanctuary nestled in the charming village of Hade Edge, Holmfirth. Perched on the very edge of the breathtaking Peak District National Park, this is where cherished family memories are made against a backdrop of rolling hills and dramatic, open skies. From the moment you arrive in the property's tranquil cul-de-sac, the peace of the countryside will envelop you, promising a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Step inside and discover a spacious and welcoming home designed with family comfort in mind. The heart of the home is the inviting lounge, perfect for cosy evenings with a family movie on the TV after a day of exploring.

For moments of quiet reflection, the stunning conservatory offers a front-row seat to the magnificent, ever-changing panorama of the Peak District – a truly unique view to be savoured with a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The well-equipped kitchen, featuring a double oven, gas hob, microwave, and kettle, makes preparing delicious family meals a joy. A separate utility room with a washing machine ensures all practicalities are covered.

When it’s time to rest, Peak View comfortably accommodates seven guests across four beautifully appointed bedrooms. Parents will adore the master suite with its luxurious Superking bed, private ensuite bathroom, and TV. A further King bedroom, a comfortable double, and a cosy single room provide flexible and restful sleeping arrangements for the whole family. We haven't forgotten the little ones; a dedicated fifth room is set up as a fantastic study and kids' activity hub, complete with books, board games, and a small TV – their own special den to unwind in! The property is well-served with a modern family bathroom and a convenient downstairs toilet.

Your adventure begins the moment you step outside. With the Peak District as your back garden, endless opportunities for exploration.

Pull on your walking boots and embark on peaceful nature walks or exciting bike rides directly from the doorstep, discovering hidden valleys, picturesque trails, and serene reservoirs.

While feeling a world away from it all, you are perfectly placed to enjoy the local charm. The vibrant town of Holmfirth is just a short 10 minute drive, offering delightful shops and cafes. For a true taste of Yorkshire life, enjoy a hearty meal at the excellent local pub, or gather ingredients for a delicious family barbecue from the village's award-winning butcher. There are some exceptional eating places.

For the young travellers, we have a host of books, board games, a Playstation 3 with its games and blu-ray movies to enjoy and some titles which would appeal to adults as well.

At The Peak View, you can set your own pace. It’s the perfect base to reconnect, explore, and relax together. Your unforgettable family escape.

Transport

We strongly recommend travelling by car to make the most of your visit, as public transport in the village is limited.

Parking is available for a maximum of two cars on the driveway.

Connectivity

Due to our beautiful rural location, mobile phone signal can be intermittent depending on your network provider. We recommend enabling Wi-Fi Calling on your phone for reliable calls inside the house.

The Wi-Fi is generally great for browsing and streaming (Fibre to cabinet). However, as we are in a rural area, it can occasionally be slower than city speeds during peak times or poor weather. 

Safety & Security

For your security and ours, we have a Video doorbell at the front entrance and an external security cameras overlooking the exterior of the property. There are no cameras inside the property.

While the garden is enclosed, it may not be fully secure for very young, unsupervised children. Please supervise children at all times.

Charging of electric vehicles using the property's domestic sockets is strictly prohibited due to safety and cost reasons.
